On the Road with The Butterfly Connection

When people visit The Butterfly Connection at a fair or show, they’re seeing more than just a booth filled with beautiful butterflies—they’re seeing the result of thousands of miles traveled, countless hours of preparation, and a small business built around sharing a passion for the natural world.

Unlike a traditional storefront, The Butterfly Connection spends much of the year on the road. From the Ohio and Iowa State Fairs to Oklahoma, and beyond, each stop is an opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with returning customers, and introduce visitors to the incredible beauty and diversity of butterflies from around the world.

One of the best parts of traveling is meeting the people who stop by our booth. Some are longtime collectors searching for a particular species, while others are discovering butterfly art for the very first time. Families, teachers, nature lovers, and curious fairgoers all have one thing in common—they leave with a greater appreciation for these remarkable insects and the beauty they bring to our world.

No two events are ever the same, and neither is our collection. Throughout the year, we continually add new framed butterfly displays, jewelry, resin art, and other natural history pieces. Many items are one-of-a-kind or available in limited quantities, so every show offers something new to discover.
